Stencilling

Image
Back again already!  I just had to share my take on a technique I saw demonstrated by Pam, on Outside the Box - the blog for Memory Box products.  It involved two techniques using stencils and other stamps, plus dies of course, and you can find the genuine article here . My card incorporates inking up the stencil open space, then overstamping that space with a text die, and then adhering a die floral image over it all.  I used a stencil by Heidi Swapp, used a Kaisercraft text stamp, and then cut two Chloe stems, by Memory Box (or possibly Poppy Stamps - same company) - I love how it turned out.  What do you think?

Less is More - sketch #11

Oh my gosh!  It has been ages since I posted, but I thought what better way to start the New Year, than with a challenge at Less is More.  I feel so challenged with the CAS style of card-making as it is, but always enjoy looking at the projects others are able to create.  I can't bear to look before I make my own however, as then I would not be able to think of anything myself - so in awe I would be of others' creativity!   So, with much trepidation (like jumping into the water, and expecting it to be colder than you'd like!) here is my card: I'm using the Stampin' Up! stamp set:  Follow My Heart, for both the focal image and the sentiment.  I embossed the panel of hearts using a SU mini embossing folder, and instead of making a mat for the panel - I wasn't sure if another layer was OK - see how committed I am to CAS lol! - I drew a line with the Memento marker used to colour the stamp and the heart.  Wink of Stella on the heart in the Eiffel Tow
